Who are we?

Welcome to Shear Testing Systems Ltd (STS)- a company based in South Wales, Cardiff with family values at the heart of our business. We can provide Anchor Testing with Full reports in either Shear or Pull Out to the construction industry across the UK . Likewise we demonstrate competence derived from over 20 years of testing experience. Whats equally important is all our engineers being trained and accredited by the CFA Proof Testers training program.

What do we do?

The company was formed due to the high demand in shear testing identified from a scaffolding background. The complexity of scaffold design is increasing rapidly, with scaffold design engineers continuously developing new temporary works for challenging projects. We work with lots of scaffold companies and engineers, offering our services from the design stage onwards. Providing a preliminary test shows how strong the base material is for the finished product.  Finally we issue a full report highlighting our findings.

Not all Anchor tests are as straightforward as you might think, meaning some can be quite complex. Futhermore we make bespoke “jigs” that enable us to carry out our Shear and tensile anchor tests.

As new projects present themselves, we understand that a re-design might be necessary. So with that in mind, we can design and build something to tackle the challenge.
